Bond Hearings

It is our experience that police officers often “over charge” criminal suspects at the time of the arrest in order to make a stronger case, but the result is often that, in the case of severe “over charging,” the case begins to fall apart for lack of credibility or conflicting charges.  Therefore, it is important to immediately get before the Court for a bond hearing and determine exactly what the individual is charged with, and how many of the charges are repetitive or redundant before the appropriate bond amount is set.  Provided that the individual is not a flight risk and has strong ties to the community, he or she can most times quickly get out of jail and onto the preparation of their legal defense with their attorneys.
